The Hungarian Olympic Committee (MOB) and the Hungarian Paralympic Committee (MPB) have partnered with Heavy Tools to provide opening ceremony outfits for the Paris Olympic Games.
At a press event, Zsolt Gyulay, MOB President, highlighted the importance of comfort and elegance for the athletes during the opening ceremony, set to take place on the Seine. This collaboration marks the first time both Olympic and Paralympic teams will wear identical outfits. László Szabó, MPB President, emphasized the significance of the athletes’ appearance during the ceremony and commended Heavy Tools for considering the needs of disabled athletes.
Heavy Tools founder, László Doroszlay, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to deliver high-quality attire, drawing on their 27 years of experience.
Managing Director Yvette Doroszlay prioritized comfort and quality in outfit design, using premium fabrics and established patterns. Designer Mónika Herwerth took inspiration from Paris’ fashion heritage to create a sophisticated yet sporty collection.
The parade outfits will reflect the colors of Hungary’s flag, with special accessories representing France.

Panni Epres, wife of late Olympic champion waterpolo player Tibor Benedek (1972-2020), contributed to the design process to ensure inclusivity. Athletes Boglárka Kapás and Ádám Telegdy expressed anticipation for the parade, pending Olympic qualification. Paralympic athlete Fanni Illés praised Heavy Tools for considering disabled athletes’ needs and is looking forward to the Paris Games.
The collection, available for purchase before the Olympics, will debut at a fashion show on May 6 at the Castle Garden Bazaar (Várkert Bazár) in Budapest, outfitting approximately 400 individuals for both the Olympics and Paralympics.
