This is another sign that an increasing number of high-quality research is taking place in institutions. The number of patent applications has also increased in the recent years, quadrupling since 2018. This demonstrates that the results of university research are increasingly being recognized and protected.

An important change is that

while in 2010, 69 percent of students were accepted to a publicly funded place, today the figure is 82 percent.
