Almost 40,000 students will be able to travel abroad in the 2022-2023 school year thanks to the “Without Borders” program, the Ministry of Interior said on Monday, reports Magyar Nemzet.

They added that 1,230 groups of schoolchildren have been able to travel to neighboring countries in the 2022-2023 school year with a HUF 4.7 billion (EUR 13 million) budget.

They noted that the “Without Borders” program aims to build cross-border Hungarian relations, and establish and deepen personal contacts.

Within the framework of the program, pupils from Hungarian schools take part in class trips to Hungarian-inhabited areas in neighboring countries with the support of the state, thus gaining personal experience of the conditions, culture, and traditions of Hungarians living abroad.
