Over 200 Venues to Offer Special Menus during National Restaurant Week

MTI-Hungary Today 2025.02.27.

As of Wednesday, you can book your table for the spring National Restaurant Week, featuring menus from over 200 restaurants nationwide, including 14 Michelin-recommended venues.

This spring, between March 13 to 30, those who book a table at one of the restaurants participating in the National Restaurant Week will be able to taste special flavors, the organizers said. During the program, three-course menus will be offered at fixed prices of HUF 6,900 (EUR 17.25) for “Top” restaurants, HUF 8,900 (EUR 22.25) for “Premium” restaurants, and HUF 10,900 (EUR 27.25) for “Exclusive” restaurants, including service charge.

Participating restaurants will create their own three-course menus for the occasion, but some restaurants will also offer a wider choice (for a surcharge) for those who want to get to know their chosen restaurant even better.

Similarly to last year’s menus, offers will again include lamb, wild boar, Angus beef, steak, and picanha for meat lovers, as well as swordfish, sea bass, octopus, scallops, and sturgeon for seafood lovers. For vegetarians or those with food intolerance, there are specialties such as cognac and pepper soup or a variety of Neapolitan pizzas, even vegetarian kinds.

Guests can also choose from the original Gundel pancakes inspired by Hungarian cuisine, French dishes such as beef burgundy, exotic Moroccan lamb shanks, Japanese sushi specialties, or smoky BBQ dishes prepared in the American tradition. Among the desserts on offer will be the famous Dubai chocolate dessert.
