The Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympics will take place in eighty days, with 180-190 Hungarian athletes expected to take part. Hungary currently has 156 quotas. The Hungarian Olympic campaign is now also supported by MOL and the MOL-New Europe Foundation, helping the athletes who are preparing for the Games.

“The Hungarian Olympic Team will have 180-190 members in Paris, based on preliminary calculations, thanks to the fact that we will compete in four team sports at the Olympics, which has never been seen in 20 years,” MOL’s statement quoted Zsolt Gyulay, President of the Hungarian Olympic Committee (MOB).

“As for the result, what I am saying is obviously not surprising to anyone: Hungarian sport is in great need of a good Olympic performance. It will not depend on the favorites, they already know that they can get there. Even if no one else believes them, they know, because I knew it at the time. Of course, you need the right background.

The MOB team is doing everything to ensure that the preparations go smoothly and that the athletes get the best possible service on the ground, with the help of our sponsors, which now include MOL and the MOL-New Europe Foundation,”

he said.

“We are proud that in addition to sponsoring individual athletes, associations, and federations, we have for many years supported several athletes who are now members of Team Hungary through the MOL Talent Support Program.

With our long-term agreement with the MOB, we would like to provide the entire Hungarian Olympic team with a stable background for their preparations,”

said Péter Pantl, Communications Director of the MOL Group.

For the Paris Summer Olympics, the MOB and other Hungarian sports federations consider it realistic to win 15-25 medals, while international forecasts predict 22 medals for Hungarian athletes. The Olympic Games will open on July 26 in Paris.
