Mel Gibson Spotted Ordering Gyros in Budapest Fast Food Restaurant

Hungary Today 2022.03.07.

Mel Gibson, who is currently filming in Budapest, got hungry during a break from shooting and went to Pasa Kebab for gyros.

According to the fast-food workers, the Hollywood star was extremely sociable with everyone, even smiling and agreeing to take photos with them. He asked for a diet plate, Blikk reports.

“He was friendly with everyone. He asked for a slim plate, which is just meat and vegetables, and junior gyros, which is a child-sized portion,” Beatrix told Blikk, who also took a photo with the star. “At first I thought I am not seeing right when he placed his order, but I even recognized him in a mask, as I grew up on his films. I asked him if he would take off his mask so we could take a picture outside, and he said sure, and then he pulled me to him and we took a photo,” the manager said of the unusual visit.

This is not the first time Gibson showed up in a Hungarian restaurant and said yes to taking photos; for example, in February, he visited a restaurant in Veszprém where he took a picture with some staff members. He also visited a winery in Csopak and a toy shop in Szentendre.

The Australian actor, who last filmed in Hungary in November last year and set off to explore the Hungarian capital without his bodyguards, is here to film the John Wick prequel series The Continental.
