Hungary Today 2024.04.10.

The line-up of Balaton Sound is now complete, and between July 3-6, Zamárdi will again be the “capital of electronic music,” writes Világgazdaság.

With half a dozen music venues, including two main stages, parties from noon until dawn, and almost 200 performers in total, the full line-up of Heineken Balaton Sound has been put together, offering a wide range of diverse genres of electronic music, from which everyone can choose according to their own taste, reads the Balaton Sound press release.

Anna Filutás, project manager of Balaton Sound, said that one of this year’s big pieces of news is that

the Heineken main stage’s program will be extended, with shows running from the second day until 3 a.m., and on Sunday, the venue will bid farewell to festival-goers with a huge Endshow, hosted by the world-famous Dutch Q-Dance team.

The next day, Metha will start on the same stage, followed by Mau P, Vintage Culture, and Paul Kalkbrenner, and from midnight to 3 a.m., Mathame will be followed by Mind Against.

On Friday, Yamina will warm up the crowd at this venue, followed by

Last year, the Radio 1 Heineken Beach Club was a new venue, with a sun deck and comfortable lounge furniture for a beach atmosphere. The program here starts in the early afternoon, with Radio 1 DJs playing until the main stage events start, and then continues during the main stage breaks and after closing until dawn with international stars such as Sam Feldt, Laidback Luke, and Switch Disco.

This year, the Sound Party Boat will sail out to the “Hungarian sea” every day, with “DJ captains” including Loving Arms, Joer Junior, Edo Denova, Nova/Xandra, Cordeiro, Friday syndrome, Antique/B&E, Nick Behrmann, Chriss Ronson, and Metha.

If you want to get in the mood for the festival earlier, you can go to the warm-up party in Budapest on  June 7, where you can enjoy Sunset Sound from the afternoon and a night afterparty with performers such as Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe, aka Bedouin.

As for this year’s line-up of open-air events around Lake Balaton, the season will open with the Be Massive Horizon in Balatonboglár on May 25. Between May 31 and June 2, ZamJam will be held in Zamárdi as a renewed, free event.

From June, Plázs Siófok will offer a variety of well-known Hungarian performers, while the Kultkikötő (Cultural Haven) programs from Balatonszárszó to Alsóörs and Balatonföldvár offer theater, film clubs, and classical and pop music. On the last weekend of the month, the 6th Bondoró International Street Theater Festival will bring international and local attractions, stilt walkers, puppeteers, artists, and musicians to Balatonalmádi.
