Hungarian Band’s Single Picked Up by BBC Radio

Hungary Today 2024.03.06.

After a long time, Hungarian alternative band, Mörk’s newest song, “Towards The Sun,” has finally hit the airwaves, reports Index.

The track serves as a precursor to the band’s forthcoming EP, Astral Vision, due in April, and marks their first release on London label Albert’s Favourites.

The band has been active since 2016, and have released two albums, several singles, EPs, and a live session, and this song maintains their usual high quality, hit-making ability, and uniqueness. While the song does not open up new dimensions within the band’s music, it continues to blend funky and soul elements in an exciting way, complemented by interesting musical shifts, airy vocals, and small progressive ideas.

This song is about the importance, but fragile nature, of friendship and human relationships,” the band wrote in a statement sent to the news site.

This song, the first new release to be streamed on Spotify since 2021, marks a new chapter in the band’s journey. Not only has their music been picked up by a London label, but the band has also garnered attention from BBC radio, which had already broadcast the track before its premiere.
