Hungary Today 2024.01.29.

Wizz Air is re-launching flights to the Moldovan capital, Chișinău. In addition to the Budapest route, flights from Venice Marco Polo International Airport will also resume, writes Index.

From March, Wizz Air will resume flights between Budapest and Chișinău – the airline will operate two flights a week to the Moldovan capital.

Located on the banks of the Bîc river, Chișinău – known as Kisinyov or Kisjenő in Hungarian – is one of the region’s key centers and one of the greenest cities on the continent with its forests, parks, zoos, and botanical gardens. It is also the capital of Moldova and the center of many architectural jewels, cathedrals, churches, and cultural events, including theater and ballet performances.

The low-cost airline said that tickets are now available through its website and mobile app. In addition to the Budapest route,

Wizz Air is also re-launching flights from Venice Marco Polo International Airport to Moldova’s capital.

Wizz Air, Europe’s greenest airline, currently operates a fleet of 196 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. AirlineRatings.com, the world’s only airline safety and service rating website, recently ranked Wizz Air  as one of the top five safest low-cost airlines in the world, chosen by nearly 60.3 million passengers last year.

Moreover, these are not the only two lines that the company is relaunching. From March 1, Wizz Air will resume flights between Budapest and Israel’s capital Tel Aviv. Passengers will be able to travel from Budapest three times a week.
