Ocon Seals His First Ever Victory in Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix

MTI-Hungary Today 2021.08.02.

Alpine’s Esteban Ocon claimed his first Grand Prix victory in the 36th Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix, round 11 of the 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship, on Sunday.

Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel finished second, while Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) completed the podium.

However, Vettel was ultimately disqualified from second place since officials were not able to take the correct fuel sample from his vehicle following the race. While regulations call for a 1-liter sample to be available at any time during the event, only 0.3 liters could be taken from his car.

As a result, Hamilton was pushed to second, and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz made it to third.
