Believed to be a fashion fad, the Food Truck Show survived and even closed the COVID years successfully. To celebrate the 100th event, every mobile restaurant in the country will be celebrating on Vámház Boulevard on September 21-22.
At the end of the month, all the public favorite cars of the past 10 years, the holders of professional awards and all the award-winning food trucks will be on display with their old and new flavors, reports Turizmus.com.
On Saturday and Sunday, workshops will show how the most famous cars have transformed the street food scene over the past 10 years:
how the hamburger became a smashed burger, how Asian flavors became a Hungarian favorite, and how churros have remained a hit for 10 years.
“I am most proud of the fact that we managed to bring a real gastronomic experience to the street after the beach buffets,” emphasized Zoltán Horváth, the founder and owner of the Food Truck Show, who believes that
they have become an indispensable genre in the catering industry and that there would be no festival, city event or village day without them.
This year, the best street food can be sampled at the free, child- and dog-friendly festival between Kálvin Square and the Pest end of the Liberty Bridge, on car-free days.
