German site 90min.de referring to Sport Bild, a reliable source in the press, writes that Hungarian midfielder Roland Sallai will leave SC Freiburg (Bundesliga) this summer.
The German portal states that Sallai, one of the Hungarian team’s best players at the UEFA Euro 2024, and SC Freiburg management have already verbally agreed to part ways, writes Index.
Sallai’s contract with SC Freiburg is due to expire next summer, at which point he could leave for free, but the German top-flight club could sell his playing rights for a substantial sum at the moment. German Bild adds that
the Hungarian midfielder has attracted the attention of several teams during the continental tournament.
52-time international Sallai could be of interest to Bologna, who qualified for the UEFA Champions League, among others. In addition, the English Premier League and Spanish La Liga may also be interested.
As is known, two Hungarian players played for SC Freiburg in the spring, as Attila Szalai was loaned to the Bundesliga team, although he hardly got a chance to play, and returned to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim after the end of the season. However, it is still uncertain what will happen to Szalai, as he is not necessarily expected to play for Hoffenheim, and Turkish press reports have already suggested that he could return to Turkey, but not to Fenerbahçe, but to Beşiktaş.

After the European Championship, several Hungarian players have changed teams or may do so in the coming days. Index has already reported that Callum Styles was not wanted by Sunderland AFC and has returned to the English third division, but it has also been rumored that Ádám Martin could leave South Korean side Ulsan HD FC.
