Budapest will host the CPAC Hungary conference for the second time on May 4-5, announced the organizers – Hungarian think tank Center for Fundamental Rights (Alapjogokért Központ) and the American Conservative Union – on Tuesday.
Originating in the 1970s, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) has become the annual rally of American conservatives. The first European iteration of the conference was hosted by the Center for Fundamental Rights in the Hungarian capital last year. The event centered around the values of “God, Homeland, Family” and attracted more than 1,500 people, including nearly 200 foreign decision-makers, journalists, and influencers,

This year’s slogan is “United We Stand,” representing the cooperation of conservative forces around the world, according to organizers.
The conference will open with a speech by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who was the keynote speaker of both last year’s CPAC Hungary and the CPAC Texas in Dallas.
Leading Hungarian politicians and Miklós Szánthó, the Director of the Center for Fundamental Rights, addressed international CPAC events in Japan and Mexico last year.
