The Zalaegerszeg proving ground in western Hungary has attracted the interest of the largest Chinese testing and certification organization, the Ministry of Energy announced on Facebook.
The ministry noted that a Chinese delegation had arrived at the ZalaZONE automotive proving ground at the invitation of Government Commissioner László Palkovics. The activities of China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) are inspection, testing, certification, standardization, and measurement. They are present in 40 countries and regions worldwide, with more than 400 branches and more than 500 laboratories with over 20,000 employees, and have over 100 international and 300 national accreditations.
The ministry said that
the meeting was aimed at identifying common ground, focusing on innovative opportunities, and immediately suggesting possible future cooperation.
The Chinese partners were informed about the functioning of technological platforms related to the Hungarian high-tech industry, in particular about the CCIC’s focus on artificial intelligence competence and its strategic, scientific, legal, and technological environment in Hungary.
The focus of the meeting was on the implementation of Chinese manufacturers’ European approval tasks at ZalaZONE,
with a special focus on self-driving systems equipped with advanced driver assistance systems and controlled by artificial intelligence, the ministry said.
