Besides the transfer of Dominik Szoboszlai, Hungarian football fans were also excited to hear which team Milos Kerkez would be joining. According to the latest news, the young Hungarian football player could be heading to Lazio in Serie A in Italy, reports Nemzeti Sport.
The 19-year-old left-back of the Hungarian national team has been playing for Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, but Lazio have already started negotiations for his transfer. Portuguese side Benfica were also previously interested in Kerkez, but they ended up signing David Jurásek after being shocked by the Dutch side’s €20 million asking price for the player.
According to reports, Lazio have already made their first offer to AZ Alkmaar, which would see them
first loan Milos Kerkez for €2.5 million and then sign the Hungarian permanently for a further €11 million.
Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote on his Twitter page on Sunday that Lazio had already agreed on personal details with Milos Kerkez, and the two football clubs could finalize talks this week.
Lazio have agreed personal terms and all details of the contract for Milos Kerkez as new left back.
Kerkez has accepted Lazio as next club while negotiation with AZ will continue next week to get it done.

Kerkez has already caught the eyes of international football experts. In January, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) named 40 players aged 21 or under who they believe have the potential to conquer European football in 2023, and this prestigious list included Kerkez. Besides UEFA, Kerkez has attracted the attention of the CIES Football Observatory in Switzerland as well, which ranked him among the world’s most promising under-21 players in their latest study.
The biggest signing of the summer from a Hungarian perspective, however, was definitely Dominik Szoboszlai. The former RB Leipzig player, who is captain of the Hungarian national football team, has signed with Liverpool, with the Premier League side paying €70 million for him, making him the third most expensive player to be acquired by the club.
