The competition will be open to young people in professional and amateur categories, in classical and modern ballet, duets, and groups, the organizers told MTI.
During the registration period, contestants can compose their own routines based on a predefined competition program, and then upload a video of their chosen routine, up to four minutes long, on the application form. Children under 12 years old are free to enter a choreography of their choice.
The organizers welcome contestants from all over the world. The long-term aim of the competition is not only to nurture talent, but also to promote Hungarian ballet education and the art of ballet as widely as possible. In addition to professional recognition, the winners will take home a cash prize of €1,000 for winning the Junior Grand Prix and €2,000 for the Youth Grand Prix. The president of the jury will be Tamás Solymosi, Director of the Hungarian National Ballet Institute, who will be assisted by a number of renowned ballet artists.
