Wizz Air has announced that it will resume flights between Budapest and Tel Aviv on August 8, one month earlier than planned, instead of September 15.
The discount airline will also fly to 10 destinations in 8 countries from the Israeli capital: Larnaca, Milan, Rome, London, Vienna, Bucharest, Iasi, Sofia, and Abu Dhabi will also be accessible, Turizmus.com reports. However, other previously operated Tel Aviv flights will resume on September 15.
We are back, and we had a good reason for it,”
said Olivia Harangozó, communications manager at Wizz Air. “Our early return also demonstrates our commitment to our Israeli passengers and to keeping them in the tourist circuit.”

After the reopening of flights, Wizz Air will be the largest non-Israeli European airline at Ben Gurion Airport in terms of capacity offered.
The airline currently operates over 830 routes to nearly 190 destinations in 51 countries and will carry 75 million passengers in 2025 through its extensive network, reinforcing its mission to make air travel accessible and affordable for everyone, Wizz Air wrote in its statement.
