Wizz Air will resume flights between Budapest and Tel Aviv in March, the airline announced today.
The low-cost Hungarian airline said in a statement that
from March 1, passengers will be able to fly to the Israeli capital from Budapest three times a week.
Wizz Air also informed the public that from spring, in addition to Budapest, it will also operate flights to Tel Aviv from Bucharest, Krakow, London-Luton, Rome-Fiumicino, and Sofia airports.

announced on October 7, 2023 that they had suspended flights between Budapest and Debrecen and Tel Aviv due to the Israeli airstrikes, in coordination with local and international authorities. The airline suspended more than 270 flights a week to Israel in its October schedule, with 14 flights a week from Hungary affected. Tamás Király, managing director of Debrecen International Airport,
said at the time that “the airport and the airline hope that scheduled flights between the two cities can be resumed as early as December.” In the end, in the light of events, those wanting to travel had to wait longer.
