Hungary’s disaster management authority on Saturday said it has sent 200 ventilators from the European Union’s stock in Hungary to Ukraine.
Altogether 200 ventilators, 250 bedside monitors, 25 central monitors and 100 infusion pumps from the so-called rescEU medical equipment reserve were delivered from the disaster management authority’s main storage facility to the Hungarian border town of Záhony, the authority said in a statement. There the shipment worth a combined 3.7 million euros was picked up by Ukrainian representatives.
The equipment was sent after Ukraine asked for assistance via the EU’s Emergency Response Coordination Centre, the statement said.
