Video of Georgian Girls Singing Hungarian Folk Song Goes Viral

Five years ago, the Trio Mandili uploaded a video clip of them singing the Hungarian folk song Tavaszi szél vizet áraszt (Spring Wind Floods Water) on YouTube.

The video has been picked up by the Internet again, Mandiner.hu news portal reported on Monday. The three member group’s page already has 1.3 million followers. The following video has already been viewed by more than 600,000 people:

The Georgian band, which has become known worldwide through social media, has performed in Hungary several times, most recently in September at a charity concert to help refugees from Ukraine.

The singers of Trio Mandili are not the only foreign artists who have performed this folk song. In Hungary, Queen’s 1986 concert in Budapest, where Freddie Mercury also performed it, has become legendary.
