Bomb Scare at University of Pécs

Hundreds of students and teachers had to leave the buildings of the University of Pécs on Rákóczi Street due to a bomb scare.

The buildings of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law were evacuated due to a bomb alert, the university’s press office confirmed to Pécs Aktuál. The Pécs Finance Days are taking place right now, which many people attended, so hundreds of students and lecturers had to leave the venue.

There are dozens of police cars at the entrance and near the building, and uniformed officers are already working inside, searching the building for explosives.

There have been an increasing amount of bomb scares across the country in the past few weeks in several malls, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Népliget bus station as well.
