Three Ukrainian football players of MOL Fehérvár FC protested against the Russian-Ukrainian war during the Hungarian Cup match on Thursday evening.
The moment came in the 43rd minute when Ukrainian legionnaire Ivan Petrjak scored for Győri ETO. Afterward, he sobbed and declared that he had enough of the war.
Two of his teammates, also Ukrainians, showed the camera an anti-war message written on their shirts. Their messages said “Close the sky over Ukraine,” “No war, support Ukraine,” and “Stop the war in Ukraine.”
The football players showing the message on their shirts can be watched here, on M4 Sport‘s website.
