UEFA Names 18-year-old Lisztes Jr. as One of the Most Promising Young Talents in Europe

Hungary Today 2024.01.03.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has published a list of 40 of Europe’s most talented young players on its official website. Krisztián Lisztes Jr., an 18-year-old Ferencváros player, has been included in the list, Nemzeti Sport reports.

UEFA has selected players aged 21 or under who have the potential to become superstars from 2024. Based on previous lists, the European association has done a good job in selecting players on several occasions, such as Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Rafael Leao, and Gavi, who were all selected in the top 40 in previous years.

This is how UEFA describes Lisztes:

Son of the 49-cap Hungary international with the same name, Lisztes Jr. chipped in with several important goals from midfield as Ferencváros scooped the 2023 title. Tricky and nimble, the U21 international will move from Budapest to Eintracht Frankfurt on a five-year contract in the summer.”

In September 2023, Ferencváros announced on its website that Lisztes will join Eintracht Frankfurt of the German football league (Bundesliga) this summer.

The German club, winners of the 2022 Europa League, also announced on their official Instagram page that the player, who is also considered for the youth national team, has signed a five-year contract.
