TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel Opens to Meet Growing Travel Demand

MTI-Hungary Today 2025.06.11.

The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel has opened in the immediate vicinity of Terminal 2 at Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Rooms at the four-star hotel have been available for booking since mid-May, based on the announcement made to the press on Tuesday.

The investment costs of the TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel, developed by WING, remain undisclosed as a trade secret by those involved.
Noah Steinberg, CEO of WING, emphasized at the press conference that the TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel was developed close to Hungary’s international gateway, Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The investment responds to the growing demand for accommodation capacity at Budapest Airport and strengthens WING’s position in the hotel industry, as well as the airport’s importance in Hungarian tourism.

The CEO of the real estate development group explained that the new hotel is a seven-story, 8,000 square meter building with 167 rooms on six floors, including suites, and a conference capacity for 150 people. A direct connection has been built to the adjacent ibis Styles Budapest Airport hotel, also developed by WING and opened several years ago.

Pauline Oster, Accor’s Vice President for Europe and North Africa for the TRIBE brand, emphasized that the TRIBE brand offers guests distinctive, stylishly curated accommodation. In less than two years, TRIBE has opened its second hotel in Budapest after the TRIBE Budapest Stadium hotel, she noted.

Francois Berisot, CEO of Budapest Airport, pointed out that traffic at Budapest Airport is constantly growing and passenger numbers are increasing, so it is important for them to provide adequate services, and nearby hotels also play an important role in this.
Csaba Palotai, director of TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel, pointed out that the hotel is also a meeting point and welcomes not only hotel guests but everyone to the sky bar on the seventh floor rooftop terrace.

According to a press release, the TRIBE hotel brand, founded in Australia in 2017, has more than 20 hotels in operation worldwide in major cities and tourist centers.

The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel is operated by WING in partnership with Accor. The architectural design of the previously opened ibis Styles Budapest Airport and the newly built TRIBE Budapest Airport hotel was carried out by Aspectus Architect, a subsidiary of WING. The structural engineering was done by Swietelsky Magyarország, the finishing works were managed by Bernecker, and the interior design was carried out by the company este’r partners.
WING is one of the leading privately owned real estate development and investment companies in Central Europe, with a developed portfolio of 5.5 million square meters in Germany, Poland, and Hungary.
