Transparency International “Inciting Hatred” against Hungary, claims Slovak MEP

Only days after a damning report called the Hungarian branch of the international lobby group, Transparency International’s (TI) activities “harmful” and “stigmatizing,” the NGO is again being noticed for all the wrong reasons by European politicians. After organizing a photo exhibition in the European Parliament in Strasbourg depicting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán as a “corrupt” politician, Slovak MEP Milan Mazurek has taken issue with their biased activities.

The politician from the right-wing Republika party in Slovakia (ESN faction) has shared a video on Facebook in which he both criticized TI’s campaign against the Hungarian government, as well as the EP’s decision to host such a propaganda “exhibition” on its premises.

Bought political NGOs like Transparency International do evil and shame wherever they go. An example is their Hungarian version, which openly smears its own country in the European Parliament,”

said the MEP in the video.

“Right here in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the treehuggers from the so-called Transparency International from Hungary have organized an exhibition of images criticizing Viktor Orbán.” Mazurek has also called attention to a lecture organized by Transparency International on Tuesday, saying “when I… listened to their speech, they talked about him being the most corrupt politician in the European Union. Orbán, they said, has stolen 25% of the EU funds. They were guided by the motto: we must defeat him,” said the MEP in his video message.

“It is unbelievable!”, he continued. “They come here (to Strasbourg) and start insulting their own country! Will they start inciting hatred against a democratically elected government in this way?”, the MEP asked. In his view, the irony is that while the network of George Soros is able to set up propaganda exhibitions in the EP against the Hungarian government, they should perhaps look closer to home: “If the same scumbags, the buffoons from Transparency International, wanted to organize an exhibition in this place with a photo of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen… And also those legendary text messages with Pfizer… Or how many billions have been ploughed into the vaccine business by the various EU Commissioners here…. they would have been driven out of here by leaps and bounds!”

It would be impossible to organize such an exhibition on von der Leyen, because they are the kings of corruption in the European Commission, they are the ones who represent corruption!”,

the Slovak politician added.

In his words, “The European Commission likes to lecture us about the ‘rule of law’ and wants to punish us when we do not vote as they wish, yet in a truly ‘rule of law’ state, they would already be in jail for their corruption with Pfizer.” In his view, such propaganda displays are permitted in the EU institutions simply because “Hungary had resisted these totalitarian practices, because Hungary does not want to let migrants into its territory, because Hungary protects its children from rainbow fanaticism… That is why it ends up like this – this is how these harmful NGOs are causing a disgrace!”, remarked the right-wing MEP from Slovakia.
