Another young man from Transcarpathia has died in the Russo-Ukrainian war, the Rahó (Rahiv) city administration announced on March 22.

Sergeant Major Eduard Varga was born on August 6, 1997. After graduating from school, he served in the State Border Guard and then joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The young man from Rahó was killed while defending Kyiv.
He is the fourth Hungarian victim of the Russo-Ukrainian war from Transcarpathia. Previously, Valeriy Méhes (19), Vaszil Bilak (22) from Munkács (Mukachevo), and Sándor Kis (29) from Ungvár (Uzhhorod) were killed in the fighting.
