A Hungarian man climbed over a railing at a private zoo near Kecskemét, about 90 kilometers from Budapest, to pet a Siberian tiger. The man involved was aged 65 and the animal was a 220 kg predator.
On the morning of 3 November, paramedics were alerted to a private zoo near Kecskemét, where the man had climbed over the railing and put his hand through the bars to pet the extremely dangerous animal.
The man’s only luck was that the tiger thought his approach was a play, so he only bit into the man’s arm with minor force.
As a result, the 65-year-old victim escaped the dangerous adventure with minor injuries, but it was all down to luck, according to a Facebook post of the Hungarian National Ambulance Service.
Paramedics arrived on the scene within minutes, treated the man’s wounds and took him to hospital in a stable condition.
