One of America’s most sought-after actors, Tom Holland, who also plays Spider-Man, and Oscar nominee Amanda Seyfried, will star in Kornél Mundruczó’s ten-part series entitled The Crowded Room.
For her role in Mundruczó’s film Pieces of a Woman, Vanessa Kirby has been nominated for an Academy Award. Martin Scorsese has signed on to produce two of the director’s films, and it has been announced that Blake Lively will star in his next film called Proxy. Now, according to Hollywood Reporter, his new series, The Crowded Room, will star Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried. Holland, as well as Mundruczó, will also be a producer of the series.
The Crowded Room is a gripping anthology series that will explore the true and inspirational stories of those who have struggled and learned to successfully live with mental illness. The anthology’s 10-episode first season is a captivating thriller, inspired by the award-winning biography The Minds of Billy Milligan by Daniel Keyes. It tells the story of Billy Milligan (Holland), the first person ever acquitted of a crime because of multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder), Apple TV+ Press reports. Seyfried will star as Rya, a clinical psychologist faced with the most challenging case of her career, who is also trying to balance her life as a single mother.
The series will be available on Apple’s streaming platform, Apple TV+.
