The Szolnok garrison stands ready to meet today’s military challenges with cutting-edge technology and highly trained personnel, President Tamás Sulyok declared during his official visit Monday to the Hungarian Defense Forces’ 86th ‘Ittebei Kiss József’ Helicopter Base.

The head of state, who is also the commander-in-chief of the Hungarian Defense Forces, described the base as a showcase of commitment, teamwork, and expertise, and praised the technical prowess and human dedication displayed during a dynamic military demonstration. These qualities are very important for them to be able to carry out even the most complex tasks, he noted.

At the event, President Tamás Sulyok was welcomed with military honors in a ceremonial setting, followed by a dynamic combat and static military technology demonstration.
Today’s demonstration proved that both the technical equipment and the personal knowledge are available,
he said.
