Dominik Szoboszlai, the captain of the Hungarian national football team, is the 22nd most valuable player in the world, according to the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), based on its database. Jude Bellingham, under contract with Real Madrid, is at the top of the list, worth EUR 280 million.
The CIES has once again examined the value of professional footballers after the end of the season, and according to its model, Real Madrid’s English midfielder Jude Bellingham is currently the world’s most valuable player with a value of EUR 280 million. In addition,
Hungarian national team captain Dominik Szoboszlai is 22nd on the list with a value of EUR 108 million,
ahead of Darwin Núñez as Liverpool’s most valuable footballer, Nemzeti Sport reported.
The model also takes into account the amount invested by clubs, the age of the player, the length of his contract, minutes played, results, the economic power of the player’s club and league, the economic power of potential buyers, and the rate of inflation. All of these have put Jude Bellingham, who has a contract at Real Madrid until 2029, and is worth EUR 280.4 million at the age of 20, at the top of the list.
The English midfielder has now overtaken Manchester City’s Norwegian midfielder Erling Haaland, who is valued at EUR 255.3 million, almost EUR 15 million ahead of third-placed Vinicius Junior (EUR 240.8, Real Madrid). Two others players have reached the EUR 200 million mark: Rodrygo Goes (Real Madrid) is valued at EUR 220.7 and Phil Foden (Manchester City) at EUR 203.8.
Dominik Szoboszlai came 22nd with an estimated value of EUR 108 million, just ahead of Núñez, who was valued at EUR 107.9 million.
