Wednesday’s first day of the Sziget Festival brought a packed house, with 95,000 people partying.
On the opening day of Sziget, the main act, Dua Lipa, packed the main stage.
The festival can only hold up to 95,000 people in one day, so we had to stop selling full-price tickets for that day at 22:00 on Monday. Seeing the decline in ticket sales, we expect a similarly full house on Friday and Saturday,”
Tamás Kádár, the main organizer, was quoted as saying in Sziget’s Thursday statement.

Yesterday, on Thursday, the main performers were Kings of Leon and Bastille. On Friday, Stromae and Justin Bieber, and the next day Calvin Harris, and Lewis Capaldi will perform on the main stage of the Sziget Festival.
In the almost three decades of Sziget’s history, the festival has sold out several times. The first full house was in 2001 when Faithless played on Sunday. The last time Sziget was full was on the opening day of the 2019 festival when Ed Sheeran headlined. The release says that other Sziget days have been more successful, with Rihanna, Sia, and Muse all having sold-out days in 2016.
