Trend Broken: Suzuki Not the Highest Seller of New Cars in Hungary in January

The domestic new car market had a weak start to 2022, reports Világgazdaság (VG). Citing the latest data from “Datahouse,” the newspaper reported that 8,088 new passenger cars were registered in January, 8.8 percent less than a year earlier.

Compared to January 2020, the gap is even more- 20 percent in total. Last year, the number of new registrations was never as low as in January this year, the article states.

It was the first time in a long time that Toyota, not Suzuki, brought the newest cars to the market.”

The two manufacturers are followed in sales rankings by carmaker Ford.
