The support for Hungarian farmers is assured again this year and the Agricultural Ministry will provide it even in difficult economic circumstances, Agriculture Minister István Nagy said in a video message on Thursday.
The Minister said it was clear from what was happening in the world that this year would not be easy for agriculture either.
The effects of the historic drought, the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the energy crisis as a consequence of the misguided sanctions in Brussels have an inescapable impact on everyone’s life,
István Nagy stressed that the great success of last year was that the European Commission approved the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) strategic plan for Hungary.
He stressed that thanks to these historic opportunities and resources, Hungarian agriculture can be fundamentally renewed. The EU funds, together with a significant national budget contribution, could provide more help than ever before for the Hungarian countryside, farmers, and food producers.
