A sun pillar appeared in the clouds over the southern part of the Transdanubian region at sunrise on Saturday. Iridescent clouds were also observed in Hungary over the weekend.

A sun pillar is formed when the light is reflected by the larger cloud crystals at sunrise or sunset. On Saturday morning it could be seen in Kaposvár:

On Friday morning, the sun pillar appeared in Debrecen on the other side of the country, but it was weaker.
The iridescent clouds were photographed in Hagyeshalom, Homokmégy, and Gödöllő.
