Simone Rossi is leaving his current Italian team Ortigia to move to Hungary, where he will play for OSC Budapest next season and, at the same time, will get closer to his father Marco, coach of the Hungarian national soccer team, reported waterpolopeople.com.
The sports portal called Simone “a boy of immense human depth, the protagonist of four intense years”. Four seasons during which he contributed, with his performances of the highest level, to bring Ortigia to the top, reaching, among other things, a Euro Cup final, an Italian Cup final and the third place in Serie A1. Over these years, Simone has become one of the public’s favorites and one of the veterans of this historic group.
“These have been four wonderful years,” says Simone Rossi, “which, on the one hand flew by, and on the other seemed like a lifetime. I created important relationships here that I will carry in my heart forever. I made friendships that I hope will last forever, I bought a house, so I can say that I feel like a Syracuse citizen. The last two months maybe I did not enjoy them enough because I was thinking too much about the future, but unfortunately life is made up of choices and you have to make decisions for your future that are often difficult.”

His club wrote that Circolo Canottieri Ortigia would like to thank Simone with great affection for everything he has done in these four years, for his professionalism, education, and attachment to the colors. We wish Simone all the best in his professional and personal future, and we reserve a special place for him in the history and heart of this club.
