There are several small ski slopes in Hungary, but so far only one is open. The Síaréna Vibe Park in Eplény, in western Hungary, opened its doors to skiers at 11 am on Wednesday, with 70 centimeters of snow.
Real winter weather arrived in Hungary last week, with frosts and snowfall. Thanks to this, and to the snow-making in full swing, the A1 slope is now fully open to skiers and snowboarders in Eplény, and the T1 learning slope has also been opened.
According to Sielok.hu, a Hungarian skiing website, Eplény is the only ski slope in Hungary with a ski lift that is currently open. However, the opening of the other slopes is not far off either, with the trial production of snow at Normafa, near Budapest, having started a few days ago.
