The choir of Rome’s Sistine Chapel will perform in Budapest on Saturday during the Night of Organs festival, which will see 100 events held nationwide, organisers said on Thursday.
The choir will perform in Budapest’s St Stephen Basilica, with Josep Sole Coll at the organ and Marcos Pavan conducting, Szabolcs Szamosi of Philharmonia Hungary told state news channel M1. The choir will hold concerts in Szeged on Thursday and in Pécs on Friday ahead of the Budapest event, they said.
Other concerts will be held in Kecskemét and Szeged, and events in Vojvodina, Transylvania and Transcarpathia have also joined the festival, he said.
