The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMSZ) has retained its seat in the Serbian Parliament. The party won at least as many votes and seats as in the previous elections.
VMSZ President Bálint Pásztor said that
the party’s goal was to keep its independent parliamentary group in the Belgrade Parliament.
To do so, it needed to delegate five MPs, which Pásztor achieved, citing preliminary results.
He pointed out that the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians had managed to maintain its strength after a difficult period, following the death of party president István Pásztor, and thanked the Hungarian Government for the support it had given the VMSZ during the campaign.
The election was won by current Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić’s Serbian Progressive Party, with nearly 47% of the votes. The opposition coalition Serbia Against Violence received 23.1 percent of the votes. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and President Katalin Novák both congratulated Vučić on his victory on X ( formerly Twitter).

In addition to the early parliamentary elections in Serbia, there were also provincial elections, where the VMSZ has the third largest parliamentary group, ahead of several other Serbian parties.
