Retail sales in Hungary rose by an annual 4.5 percent in January, slowing from 6.7 percent in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Thursday.
Adjusted for calendar-year effects, retail sales rose by 4.1 percent. Adjusted food sales edged up 0.1 percent and non-food sales rose by 6.4 percent. Vehicle fuel sales climbed 10.7 percent.
