Katalin Novák, Hungary’s incoming president, has congratulated Alexander Vucic on his re-election as Serbia’s president.
In her letter posted on Facebook on Monday, Novák said: “The clear and solid support for you is a resolute expression of the opinion of voters in such unprecedentedly difficult and challenging times”.
“As a Hungarian, it is reassuring to know that neighbouring Serbia will be led by a politician whom Hungary can regard as a friend and who is a committed supporter of the Hungarian community in Vojvodina,” she said, wishing Vucic further success in performing his duties as president.
