President Áder Visits Hungarian-Funded Projects in Kenya

President János Áder on Tuesday visited a school, a hospital and a farm in Kenya funded by Hungary.

As part of his eight-day visit to the region, Áder visited the St. Joseph training centre in a poor district of Nairobi, which has received 280,000 US dollars in funding from the Hungary Helps government program to build and equip a wing for vocational training. The school trains 200 young people with disadvantaged backgrounds. It is planning to raise student numbers to 500.

Áder is the first Hungarian president to visit Kenya since it gained independence.Continue reading

The president also visited a hospital specialising in spinal surgery which has received medical equipment worth 188,000 dollars under joint Hungarian-Slovenian aid.

Áder also inspected a farm using and distributing VizOr, a Hungarian soil additive designed to reduce the water demand of plants.
