Popular Hungarian singer-songwriter Ákos released his first soundtrack album, with the music written for his short feature film Left on our own (Magunk maradtunk) on Thursday.
Every piece of the 27-minute film’s memorable and atmospheric musical atmosphere is featured on the album, along with three versions of a new composition: the song with the same title as the movie, “Magunk maradtunk.” It was created as a further elaboration of the end title track, the lyrics clearly referring to the film, but it can also be interpreted as a stand-alone piece. The album has been released on CD and LP, both with an 18-page booklet of the film’s most memorable moments and monologues.
The music video for the new song includes new footage from the original film locations alongside scenes from the film.
Along with film screenings, book presentations, and studio work, Ákos has spent this year touring: the 2022 concert series was seen by nearly 120,000 people at seventeen venues. He will end the year where he started in January, with a sold-out concert: on December 17, and will return to Papp László Arena with a major performance.
