Paramount+ announced last Thursday that the 10-episode European-based spin-off series NCIS: Tony & Ziva (NCIS: Europe), featuring fan favorites Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo), has begun production in Budapest, Hungary, reports Index.

The cameras are already rolling in Budapest, where the former NCIS actors will reprise their roles as Ziva David and Anthony DiNozzo. They will also be joined by Isla Gie, who will play their 12-year-old daughter Tali, Variety pointed out.

Also joining the cast will be Amita Suman (Shadow and Bone) as the technical director of Tony’s security firm, and Maximilian Osinski (Ted Lasso), who will play a Russian hacker.

Emily in Paris actress Nassima Benchicou plays a former agent, while James D’Arcy from Agent Carter takes on the role of a high-ranking Interpol agent.

The new series reunites Cote de Pablo, who left the original series after season 11, and Michael Weatherly, who left after season 13.

In the original series, the characters thought Ziva was dead, while Tony left the team to raise their daughter. Years later, Ziva was found alive and the former NCIS agents are now raising their daughter together in Paris.

Filming has already begun on the project, but the premiere date for the series is still unknown.
