Poland is increasingly becoming a popular destination for Hungarian tourists. On September 12, the Polish Tourist Board held a workshop in Budapest, showcasing Polish cities and regions to representatives from the Hungarian tourism industry, writes Portfolio.

The event highlighted a record number of Hungarian tourists who visited Zakopane (known for its mountains and skiing opportunities) during the winter season, with local press referring to it as a “Hungarian invasion.”

Additionally, Hungarian cyclists have been exploring Lower Silesia, thanks to previous promotions of active tourism. Among rafters, Hungarians ranked as the second largest group visiting the Polish rivers, with nearly 250,000 participants.

The workshop featured presentations on various Polish cities and regions, including Warsaw, Łódź, Lublin, Zamość, Lesser Poland (Kraków’s region), and Tarnów.

The Polish Tourist Board also launched a campaign aimed at Hungarian travelers with the slogan “Poland is more than you think.”
