The Gidrán controllers took part in a turret shooting exercise, “showing what the 12.7 mm M2HB heavy machine gun can do,” the 1st Armored Brigade “György Klapka” wrote in a social media post.
The Hungarian Gidráns are equipped with the ASELSAN SARP stabilized, remote-controlled turret, that can be fitted with a 7.62 mm medium or 12.7 mm heavy machine gun and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.

The turret is equipped with a day and night camera system for target detection and identification and a laser rangefinder. Protection is also enhanced by an equipped smoke grenade launcher system, Honvedelem.hu detailed. The Hungarian Defense Forces have also purchased the ASELSAN SEDA-V acoustic shot detector for the vehicles. This equipment is able to determine and show the vehicle crew where the Gidrán was fired from by means of a sensitive microphone system. It can also be equipped with an automatic fire extinguishing system or even a high-power winch.
The Gidráns are manufactured by Nurol Makina in Türkiye, and the additional electronic, communication, radar, and weapon systems are integrated into the vehicles in Hungary.
