RB Leipzig goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi played his eleventh match of the season without giving up a goal in the Bundesliga on Friday night, reports Nemzeti Sport. The Hungarian sportsman is also a key figure in Hungary’s national football team.
Of all the goalkeepers who have made at least ten saves in the five top leagues this season, only Yann Sommer (Internazionale) and Álex Remiro (Real Sociedad) have also gone eleven games without giving up a goal.
The Hungarian goalkeeper is also the best in terms of percentage, having kept his net untouched in more than half of his 21 matches this season.

However, the picture is somewhat clouded by the fact that he has also conceded five goals against Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.
According to Transfermarkt statistics, Péter Gulácsi’s total career tally of 168 games without a goal is already impressive. His season record was set in 2018-2019, when he went a total of 16 German top-flight matches without a goal. According to the Bundesliga’s official statistics, he had the third most saves (73) of the season up to Saturday afternoon, with only Timo Weiner (Kiel, 78 saves) and Robin Zeintner (Mainz, 75) ahead of him.
