The Early Music Festival in Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda) is set to enchant audiences from July 13 to 21 with its theme “Parallels and Contrasts,” exploring the rich tapestry of early music spanning centuries, informs maszol.ro.
Organized by the Harghita County Cultural Center, this prestigious event promises a journey through musical epochs from the 13th century to the 20th century. The festival lineup boasts 14 captivating concerts featuring talented local orchestras and renowned musicians from Romania, Hungary, France, England, Switzerland, and Germany.
Each performance is carefully curated to showcase the evolution of musical styles across different periods: from the serene melodies of the Middle Ages to the intricate harmonies of the Renaissance, the dramatic compositions of the Baroque era, the elegance of Rococo, and the romanticism of the 19th and 20th centuries.
