“If we vote ‘no’ four times, the referendum will settle this issue for a long time,” the Prime Minister told voters in Eger, northern Hungary.
The father is a man and the mother is a woman, and our children should be left alone,”
he repeated during his election tour. The goal of the referendum, Orbán said, was to make it clear that “this kind of nonsense” and “foreign fads” should not be allowed to enter schools.

If children are exposed to things at school that makes parents’ jobs more difficult, then the school is doing something it has no authority to do, the Prime Minister said.
We expect teachers and schools not to re-educate our children,”
Orbán said, adding: “We have never renounced our right to let someone decide for us when and how our children should be confronted with these very difficult questions of life.” The Prime Minister said that parents should have the sole right to make that decision.
Teachers’ union PDSZ: “There is nothing that should be stopped”
There is no gender insanity either in schools or kindergartens, so there is nothing that should be stopped, just as there is no education for gender reassignment, which is what the Prime Minister claims.”
According to the union, the referendum questions “lack any basis.” If only that had been what was preventing the head of government from “finally paying public education workers a decent salary.” “We can reassure the Prime Minister that his concerns are unfounded and he can already take measures to increase wages and reduce workload.”
The unions are ready to reach an agreement. At the same time, PDSZ called on the head of government to stop speaking out against workers in kindergartens and schools, and to end retaliation against strikers.
In the context of “gender insanity,” Viktor Orbán was also recently questioned by opposition politician Ágnes Vadai (DK) about a government commercial in which a little girl says that instead of math class, a man came to school and talked about how there are boys who are girls and girls who are boys and that she can be a boy if she wants to be.

Ágnes Vadai asked the question:
Who is the madman who commissioned, approved, and aired this horror, which is a fake-social advertisement, all at the expense of Hungarian taxpayers’ money?
Responding to the question, State Secretary Csaba Dömötör said the government wants to protect children from sexual propaganda in the media, which also targets public educational institutions. He said it was important to raise awareness of the importance of the referendum, which is why the social advertisement was published.
