There are too many conflicts in the world at the same time, and this could lead to a more complex tragedy. North Korea must be prevented from posing a nuclear threat to anyone, stressed Péter Szijjártó after talks with the South Korean Foreign Minister, reports Világgazdaság.
North Korea must not be allowed to threaten anyone with the use of nuclear weapons, the minister said on his Facebook page. Péter Szijjártó noted that he had a telephone conversation with South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin, with whom he reviewed not only bilateral cooperation issues, but also the serious challenges facing international security.
The global security situation has never been in such bad shape since the Second World War:
there are too many armed conflicts in the world at the same time, posing a threat not only to themselves but also beyond their own region,
the foreign minister emphasized. He added that the Korean peninsula is one such case, which is important not only for Koreans, but for the whole world.
In the telephone conversation, the two ministers confirmed their agreement that
North Korea must not be allowed to threaten anyone with the use of nuclear weapons, and Hungary will continue to speak out in international forums to this end.
A few days ago, news broke that North Korea might supply weapons to Russia. As Independent reports: “The North Korea-Russia border is seeing a sharp increase in rail traffic in likely signs of Kim Jong Un helping Russian president Vladimir Putin by supplying munitions.” The probable arms transfer was preceded by a meeting between the leaders of the two countries in a space center.
Confirmed now by satellite imagery, North Korea has begun a large scale arming of the Russian military, sending thousands of tons of weaponry via rail.
