The Gala de las Catrinas marked the first official Miss Universe event in Mexico this year, showcasing the beauty and culture of the nation. Nóra Kenéz, the winner of the Miss Hungary pageant, made her way to Mexico City for the occasion, where the Miss Universe World Finals will be held for the 73rd time.
In preparation for the finals, contestants will participate in various events, including a parade through the historic courtyard of the Colegio de las Vizcaínas, celebrating the Mexican Day of the Dead with a charity gala, writes Origo.

This year’s Gala de las Catrinas aims to raise funds for needy populations while highlighting the significance of the Day of the Dead tradition. Mexico is hosting the international pageant for the third time, the last being in 2007.
The event not only celebrates the contestants but also seeks to contribute to local communities in need.

The gala featured 128 contestants from five continents, each supported by a dedicated team of stylists, hairdressers, makeup artists, and nail technicians.
Nóra Kenéz showcased her versatility by changing outfits three times in one day, with a striking photo capturing her in a grand headdress.

Throughout the evening, Ms. Kenéz was also seen embodying the spirits of other contestants, including Miss Macau, Miss Zimbabwe, Miss Mongolia, and Miss Bulgaria, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie among the beauties.
